Beech is and always has been very popular for wood designs in living areas. Its fine-pored structure and relatively light colour make beech so versatile, if its surface is treated correctly. Also, its price and wide availability make beech an interesting option for interior fittings.
Design options
Beech is so versatile and can ‘imitate’ many types of wood if stain is applied. Thanks to the selection / sorting of the beech (e.g. Core beech), even more dynamic surfaces can be created!
What do you need to bear in mind?
- Stir all stains carefully before and after processing
- The end colour is only achieved after painting and may vary depending on the paint type. This is why you should always create samples first
- If possible, spray small quantities of stain on beech to prevent blotchy finishes
- Also, gradual, thorough wood sanding (up to P 180) has proven beneficial
- If stain is to be applied with a brush: If necessary, prime first with Aqua BG-003 stain primer
