In the course of the B37, the Neckar Bridge West, Hirschhorn, was built as a two-span Bridge with a span of 130m and 101m as a prestressed box girder in the free cantilevered construction. The curved lower edge of the box girder and the elliptical pillars show a high design standard.

- In the course of the regular test inspection in accordance with DIN 1076, the chloride concentration and the carbonation depth of the structural concrete was determined using a mobile bridge inspection device on an area of approx. 12,000m², in addition to the tests prescribed by the standard. Furthermore a random measurement of the concrete cover as well as an endoscopy of the tendon cladding tubes were carried out via the ventilation tubes. The result: urgent need for renovation.
