In the course of the B37, the Neckar Bridge West, Hirschhorn, was built as a two-span Bridge with a span of 130m and 101m as a prestressed box girder in the free cantilevered construction. The curved lower edge of the box girder and the elliptical pillars show a high design standard.

Short description
In the course of the regular test inspection in accordance with DIN 1076, the chloride concentration and the carbonation depth of the structural concrete was determined using a mobile bridge inspection device on an area of approx. 12,000m², in addition to the tests prescribed by the standard. Furthermore a random measurement of the concrete cover as well as an endoscopy of the tendon cladding tubes were carried out via the ventilation tubes. The result: urgent need for renovation.
