A layer of dirt is a good absorbent layer for moisture and harmful substances based on the large inner surface. These usually respond to the underside of the crust and are the cause of damage to the building, even when it is initially concealed under the crust.

The general principle behind acidic cleaning is always the same: the acidic components penetrate or infiltrate the dirt crust from behind causing it to dissolve, the surfactants allow the surface to be wetted, encapsulate the dirt and allow it to be wiped off.
